Make your own Bailout!

So where's this dream?

ATTENTION: AUTO BAILOUT TIME

That’s right folks, come this way! We will show you how the government helps decide who stays and who goes. First and foremost, you must create a need for the government. To start that, you must place ridiculous restrictions on car companies and enforce them to abide by them or risk the wrath of ‘the people!’ Use something grand as your excuse, something that makes you sound benevolent for insisting upon. Children are great but mass-destruction of the world is even better.

Stick with Global Warming!

Or as I like to call it ‘Gore-Made Warming.’

Great! You’ve got them scared now right? Shaking and begging for your help? Earth-shattering hurricane winds? Check! Drastically exaggerated predictions? Check! Facts to support your cause? Uh….we’ll skip that one!

There, now you’ve got the entire country eating out of your hands. Now the car companies can’t resist. If they do they’re evil greedy capitalist earth destroyers! So now, run with it! Slap fines down on any company who doesn’t meet your MPG standards. Publicly humiliate any company who lacks a shade of green! When you’re done, they will be so wrapped around your finger that they won’t even notice that the government’s policies are the ones dragging them down in to the abyss!

Here’s the fun part!

Right as the companies get ready to go out of business, partly in part to government intervention in private industry, or as we call it …’Hope and Change’….you can always slap down a bailout and save any company that’s too big to fail! That way the company no longer just feels like it belongs to you, IT ACTUALLY DOES! They will literally be in your debt! Suddenly you have destroyed the greatest industry to ever come to the United States. Make sure the job is done though! Institute a new government program that will make it look like the government is doing everything it can to save the industry. Get directly involved in every sale! Do this and you have succeeded in expanding the power of government and creating a new all encompassing safety net for American Businesses, which takes us one step closer to our true goal. Collectivism, Socialism, Control.

If it’s so obvious and so ridiculous…why is this happening? Why are you letting it? Don’t let this continue. Step up, make a stand. Don’t let our country fail.

What the Hell Are You Doing?

Wake UP!!

I don’t understand it. I really don’t.

What the Hell Are You Doing?

I know there’s so many of you out there that have an amazing love for this country. America is much more than land that we mark property markers on. It’s an ideal. Since it’s inception America has held as a beacon for the preservation of liberty, justice, and free enterprise. When people say ‘The American Way,’ that is exactly what they are talking about! Right? Well, that’s what you hear people say…but rarely do their actions ever meet their words.

We’ve allowed our Liberties to be stomped on, we’ve forgotten what the word Justice even means, and we’ve already pre-written the obituary for our Free Enterprise.

What the Hell Are You Doing?

Is this what America has come down to? Are we simply pawns now? Reacting to whatever the media instructs us to? Allowing ourselves to be blindfolded and led around like sheltered cattle? America was built on great men doing great things. That is at the heart of what America stands for. Men like Thomas Jefferson, who coined the greatest governmental document ever. Men like Patrick Henry, who stood up in a rage of patriotism and pushed a congregation to action. Men like John Adams, James Madison, and Benjamin Franklin.

Those are not the only type of Great Men we have known though!

Men like John D. Rockefeller who rose up to become the Richest Man in the history of the world. Individuals like Andrew Carnegie who completely turned around the steel industry and become an iconic legend. These are also great men. Men who set out to accomplish greatness in our free market and succeeded! But now, we’re cutting off these opportunities. We’re squashing talents such as these. Squandering their potential. We’re letting the American Dream be choked out! It’s not a mystery that it’s happening. Every time you cut on the news it’s right there in your face. Telling you over and over ‘The American Dream is under attack and you must accept it.’

WAKE UP!

Snap out of the placable stupor that has claimed our generation. Stand for something. Support the country that has given you every thing in your life and has opened up a future that you could never have dreamed of having. Ask yourself, What the Hell Are You Doing?, why are you accepting this? America is much more than just a piece of land. Quit accepting what you think can not be changed. Stand up and show your love for your country by turning it back in the right direction

So Where’s This Dream?

So where's this dream?

It’s easy to sit back and talk about the wonders of the American Dream. After all, it’s something that anyone can appreciate, right? Competence leading to success? Potential becoming product?

The love for ability is ingrained in our DNA as much as the need for a life-companion or food to eat. It’s apart of who we are as human beings.

Then why is it that we constantly ignore this yearning?

Every day people claim to know what it means to be an American. I’m an American and I’m free! What does that mean though? How can someone truly understand what it means to be American in this day and age when we don’t even have the time to step back and look where it all came from. To look at the origins of that freedom and the differences that make America the land of opportunity. We’re a country that was founded on the individual but we’ve forgotten that part of our history. We’re Americans without a sense of authenticity.

It’s not hard to see how this has happened. After all, our culture celebrates reality shows and drunken celebrity binges. We love our celebrities and their screw-ups! Success isn’t something that’s celebrated. It’s villainized! To be successful means that you’re greedy, selfish, and evil! There’s no greater evil than to make money after all. Turn on your television set and you’re sure to see how Paris Hilton has just wrecked her public image once again, but you’re not going to find out about that young man who came from a single-parent household, well below the poverty line, and now owns and operates his own business. That’s not what we value now.

There was a time, when the term ‘the American Dream’ was coined, that these traits were considered what it meant to be a man. To be successful at what you do showed what kind of material you were made of. While we might not celebrate it like we once did, it doesn’t mean that it’s no longer true. That underlying feeling still rests in the American public. I refuse to believe that it is all dead, because unlike those politicians that shove their distorted virtues down your throat, I actually believe in Man. Do you still believe? Or is your reality show distracting you from your heritage, and possibly your future?
